Congrats, you’re engaged! So now’s when the real fun starts – the wedding planning! That’s once you’ve booked your Jet2Wedding, of course.

Here’s a handy guide to what wedding planning might look like once you’ve decided on your dreamy wedding location… 

Straight after booking 

• You’ll receive a Wedding Confirmation pack from Perfect Weddings Abroad, so it’s important to check that all the details in it are correct
• You’ll chat with your dedicated co-ordinator to help you book the package holiday part of your Jet2Wedding
• Check your passports are valid for travel
• Send save the dates to your wedding guests
• Book travel insurance and wedding insurance  

12 months to go 

• Choose your wedding attire – the dress, the suits, the lot!
• Plan your UK celebration, if needed
• Send out the invites
• Pull together a wedding gift list, if you’re having one
• Plan your hen and stag dos with us – we’ve got a huge range of destinations!
• Browse our amazing honeymoon locations and get it booked early to help spread the cost  

Four to six months to go 

• Check you have your birth certificate to take abroad with you
• Finalise your guest list
• Confirm menus and dietary requirements for you and your guests
• Confirm wedding décor and any special wedding extras

14 weeks to go: 

• Finalise any outstanding balance
• Pre-book your transport to the airport or airport parking, and why not treat yourself to airport lounge access too? 

Four weeks to go: 

• With the help of Perfect Weddings Abroad, complete your legal documentation
• Check in for your flight
• Collate all handy travel documents and tickets
• Start your packing – remember, you get an extra 22kg bag on top of your usual 22kg baggage allowance per person, and Guaranteed Cabin Luggage for those important items! So you can kick back and relax with your complimentary champagne when you’re onboard

After you arrive 

Meet your wedding co-ordinator at the town hall to finalise all legal documents and make sure everything is just how you want it for your wedding.  

The big day! 

Your wedding co-ordinator will be with you every step of the way. They’ll be on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly so you can enjoy every moment.
