Why choose Santa Eulalia for your Ibiza holiday

Looking for somewhere exciting to stay on your next holiday? Check out Ibiza’s Santa Eulalia.

NATURAL DIVERSITY CON WEB

Think Ibiza, think neon lights and long nights? You’re about to be pleasantly surprised by the change of pace you can find in Santa Eulalia!

This tranquil treasure of the White Isle transports you to a peaceful pocket where a laidback lifestyle is the name of the game. But that’s only one part of Santa Eulalia’s charm – there are plenty more reasons why you should choose this resort for your next Ibiza getaway!

The soft-sand beaches

It’s called the White Isle for a reason and Santa Eulalia boasts some of the most pristine sands on the island. With crystal-clear waters gently lapping the 30-mile shore, it's a paradise for sun-seekers and water sports lovers alike. And these three are our favourites among the lot…

SANTA EULÀRIA BEACH 2

Playa de Santa Eulalia

In the heart of Santa Eulalia, the town's namesake beach offers a lengthy plot for everyone – from tranquil sunbathing spots to lively water sports activities. Stroll along the promenade, where colourful umbrellas dot the sands and beachfront cafes beckon with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Since this sandy stretch lies in the town centre, it will remind you more of the Ibiza you know and love, only with a tranquil twist.

Cala Nova

Where rocky cliffs cloaked in pine trees hug the champagne sands, you’ll find the glorious Cala Nova. The shallow waters of the mini bay are great for children, while the lengthy sands provide plenty of towel space for everyone else to laze on. More into active beach days? When the wind picks up, Cala Nova is one of the few places in Ibiza where you can try your hand at surfing!

Playa Es Cana

Named after the peaceful resort of Playa Es Cana, this beach is an easy-to-reach sandy stretch that’s made for pure relaxation! Calm water perfect for swimming? Check. Pine tree-lined scenery? Uh-huh. Water sports for the adventure-seekers? You know it! A cherry on top? All the facilities that make a perfect beach day – from toilets and showers to restaurants and stripy parasols, Playa Es Cana has you covered!

The lush nature

Beyond the sun-kissed beaches, Santa Eulalia's natural beauty unfolds in its stunning landscapes. Shadowed by rolling hills and fragrant pine forests, the town invites you to reconnect with nature at every turn. Wander through the nearby nature reserves to spot some wonderful wildlife, while underwater activities could mean a speed-date with some colourful fish!

LAS DALIAS HIPPY MARKET 1 2

The exciting culture

Santa Eulalia is steeped in history and culture, with a vibrant arts scene and a calendar packed full of festivals and events. From famous hippie markets to ancient watchtowers and museums, Santa Eulalia makes it easy to get to know the past of the town and White Isle.

May festivities

It doesn’t get much better than May when it comes to the event calendar in this town. The first two weeks of the month welcome an extensive programme of activities ranging from sports activities and vintage car exhibitions to a floral festival and folklore evenings! The fun begins the first Sunday of May, following an age-old legend. It's clear that the locals love the early summer celebrations – the next magical festival when the streets of Santa Eulalia fill with laughter and smiles comes around only a week after the May festivities end. The little ones will love this one – Festival Barruguet is dedicated to theatrical acts and magic performances for children! Fun-filled weekend in Santa Eulalia? We think so!

The sports galore

Like an active afternoon when on holiday? You’ll be well and truly sorted in Santa Eulalia. The nearby hills and pine forests offer scenic trails for hiking and mountain biking, while the calm waters of the Mediterranean are ideal for sailing and paddleboarding. Plus, there are plenty of events dedicated to the sporty type too!

Hiking and biking

This side of the island has some incredible trails to get your steps in! Two of our favourites have to be the River Route and the Great Route – the first one will walk you through the town’s cultural sights, while the other one should be tackled in stages – it’s 63km after all! Prefer to travel on two wheels? Cycling is big business here too! There are 12 routes to choose from, for all ages and levels, so hop on that bike and get exploring!

Water sports

From diving and snorkelling to windsurfing and banana-boat bonanzas, water fans can start piling up their bucket list of water sports to try on Santa Eulalia’s coast! Immerse yourself in the island life by spending sunny days on the beach – a bit of lazing here, some aqua adventures there, and you’ve got one unforgettable holiday on your hands! Plus, boat trips of all kinds are at your fingertips too – now onto choosing between a yacht and a vintage llaut boat!

IBIZA MARATHON 1 2

The Ibiza Marathon

Keen on tackling a marathon abroad? This April, Santa Eulalia will welcome its sixth annual marathon, inviting thousands of determined runners to race through the streets of this town and further. The best part? The runners compete in pairs here! So, grab your partner or a friend and fly through the finish line together! Not quite sure about the whole 42km just yet? There’s a 12km mini-marathon for those wanting to slowly ease into the running business. Ready, set, go!

The drool-worthy gastronomy

As a gastronomy hub of Ibiza, Santa Eulalia boasts a repertoire of restaurants, serving everything from Mediterranean classics to Ibiza specials. What are the must-tries? We thought you’d never ask!

CAN MIMOSA

Fish is the dish

Net-fresh seafood is pretty much guaranteed on any Mediterranean island, so what’s different about Ibiza’s culinary capital? Well, quite a lot actually! The spring season starts with a grand Gastronomy Fair that celebrates the arrival of fresh gerret fish to the local shops at the beginning of March. The day begins with an announcement made with a large seashell – all part of the ancient traditions between the fishermen. The sound can be heard as far as several kilometres away! The day then continues with various tastings and seafood market festivities.

TRADITIONAL DESERT FLAÓ

Best of the rest

Although it might be a popular fare, Ibiza’s menu doesn’t end with fish and there’s no better place to go off-the-eaten path than in Santa Eulalia. Start your gastronomic journey with well-seasoned olives served with baked-to-perfection bread and a sprinkle of herbs on top. For mains, you’ve got bowlfuls of options too – deep-fried pork or octopus, traditional sobrassada sausages, while veggies can go for a hearty potato salad. Craving something sweet? Flaó cake, usually served around Easter, will hit the spot. Wash it all down with a centuries-old fishermen’s drink – café caleta. Its name might a be bit misleading though – expect more brandy than coffee beans in your cup!

Convinced that you need a holiday to Santa Eulalia? We’d be worried if you weren’t by now! Better get packing...
