While you might have the thickest jumpers out already, we suggest putting your swimsuit and shorts into a suitcase instead of the back of your wardrobe – it’s sunny o’clock somewhere…
Here are a couple of our favourite year-round destinations that won’t make you want to curl up and stay in.
Agadir
A little birdie told us that you were hoping to turn up the holiday heat this November. We don’t blame you. We think Agadir in Morocco, one of our newest additions to our map, is a match for the kind of winter jolly you’re after. Bronzed beaches with water sports available? Tick. Shops selling souvenirs and local trinkets? Tick. Restaurants and bars offering a flavour of the region’s best bites and tipples? Yep, tick again! Plus, with the weather at around the 20°C mark, you’re sure to relish your time away from the cold and out in the rays.
Larnaca Area
Prepare to be charmed by Larnaca’s embrace on a warm November holiday. With temperatures hovering around 17°C, this coastal paradise offers the perfect blend of sunshine and sea breeze. Day trips, sightseeing and history-hunting are all popular pastimes this time of the year, so if you’re looking for a dose of culture, you’ll be well and truly sorted in Larnaca.
Paphos Area
The western side of Cyprus cools down a bit slower, so if you’re more into sands than sights, veer over to Paphos. Over there, November unfolds like a dream, with temperatures reaching a balmy 22°C, which can only mean one thing… beach days are still on the cards! And there are plenty of those here, alright. From buzzing Coral Bay Beach to otherworldly scenery at Aphrodite’s Rock, everyone will find their spot. When you’ve taken a plunge, head over to waterfront tavernas for an ultimate taste of summer – a fare of Mediterranean flavours.
Antalya Area
Need a dose of vitamin D? Pack your bags for Antalya, where the temperature bar hops all the way up to the twenties! Boasting around 300 days of sunshine on the calendar, this pocket of Turkey beckons with pristine sandy stretches shadowed by lush hills and lapped by the shimmering sea. Plus, you’ll find heaps of captivating culture, historic sites and delectable cuisine that makes us drool just thinking about it! It’s just what the doctor ordered…
Barcelona
Barcelona is a delight all year round, and November is no exception. The temperature lingers around a gentle 18°C, so pack your t-shirts, but don’t forget a jumper for the evening either. Although, this weather might be just the ticket for culture vultures! Immerse yourself in the architectural wonders of Gaudí as you climb to the whimsical Park Güell without breaking a sweat. Oh, and one can’t visit the Catalan capital without sampling tapas and paella at a cosy neighbourhood eatery.
Madeira
November in Madeira brings blissful low-twenties temperatures, and when it might seem low for this tropical island, your odds of catching some sunrays are definitely better there than in the UK. The warm weather also means levada hikes, lush garden visits and even ocean dips are still on the agenda! Getting active has never sounded better…
Lanzarote
Winter is cancelled in Lanzarote – the unique island welcomes its visitors with balmy 24°C in November. And the best part? You’ll be able to visit all the must-see places at this time of the year too! Hit the waves for surfing, explore the underground caves of Cueva de los Verdes, or simply kick back at one of the island's many beaches. Feels surreal? Just wait until you lay your eyes on the lunar-like landscapes of Timanfaya National Park…
Malta
Tick a whole country off your bucket list when you take off to mighty Malta this November! The pocket-sized island boasts a balmy 20°C, which is weather perfect for exploring and even a braving dip in the clear blue waters! You’ve got a labyrinth of streets in Valletta, the golden shores of Paradise Bay Beach and plenty of colourful villages to discover – where to even start? With a Jet2.com flight, of course!
