Petra

First up is this sweet village along the north coast. In Petra, you can strike a great balance between resting on the Blue Flag beach and hours meandering through narrow cobbled passageways. The terracotta roofs and vibrant azure shutters look great on camera, as well as the backdrop of luscious forests. There’s an ouzo distillery too, if you want to sample even more Greek culture.

Molivos

Imagine a Greek town kitted out in cobbled streets, vivid wisteria flowers and views of Turkey on a clear day. If that doesn’t sell Molivos to you, then the shimmering Aegean Sea enveloping the coast will! The harbour becomes even more enchanting at night but through the day, be sure to dip into the colourful bookshops, art galleries and bakeries on offer.

You’ll find soft sand and shallow waters at Skala Kallonis Beach, with umbrellas and sunbeds too. This village is big on wildlife and super for sunsets. We recommend finding a charming restaurant serving hearty Greek cuisine and pulling up a pew as the sun disappears over the horizon. Skala Kallonis is the place to be for that well-deserved chill time.
