Over here in the UK, we’ve got a whole lotta love for Lanzarote! With year-round sunshine, gorgeous beaches and plenty of activities, this island is always a favourite holiday destination year-in-year-out.
But, with so many amazing resorts to explore, choosing where to stay in Lanzarote is no easy job! Whether you’re after an active holiday, a sunbathing special or a culture trip, there’s a resort for you on the island.
To help you choose the right one for your Lanzarote holiday, we’ve lined up all our favourite resorts and pulled out the best bits of each one.

For blissful beaches... Playa Blanca
Well, this beautiful resort definitely lives up to its name. This resort has more than its fair share of lush white shores that could be right out of the Caribbean!
To complete these beautiful beaches, this popular resort is all glitz and glamour. Think flashy marina, immaculate villas and white-washed hotels. On top of all of this, Playa Blanca has also managed to retain its authentic village charm, meaning there’s plenty of cultural attractions to go around too.
If you’re a beach bum in search of real relaxation, then this should be your first port of call on your Lanzarote holiday.

For the holiday essentials... Costa Teguise
After small-town charm? Costa Teguise has it in droves. We’re talking a beautiful town square, gorgeous architecture and some truly fantastic beaches. Basically, it’s got everything you need for a family holiday in the Lanzarote sunshine.
What’s more, when night falls, the town square really comes to life. Head here for dinner and try some traditional Canarian cuisine.
For any cyclists out there, Costa Teguise is also a great base to start some exploration. With a few tourist board approved routes starting from this resort, grab your bike and get going!

For the whole family... Puerto Del Carmen
Here, we have an absolute classic. This has long been a favourite among Brits, and for a good reason too!
From the beach, to the generous sprinkling of restaurants serving up every cuisine you could dream of, you’re truly spoilt for choice in this resort.
On top of all that, Puerto Del Carmen is close to one of the island’s main attractions – the volcanoes! Nature lovers, budding geologists and curious tourists alike will be impressed by the fiery Timanfaya National Park. Head out on a day trip, and before you know it, you’ll be standing on the crater’s edge and looking at incredible volcanoes.
So, whether your Lanzarote holiday revolves around relaxation or natural phenomenons, Puerto Del Carmen has you covered.

For history hunters... Arrecife
Culture lovers, this is the place to be in Lanzarote. The island’s capital is full of castles, museums and art, just to name a few. Spend afternoons exploring Arrecife and you’ll find yourself immersed in Canarian culture from the moment you arrive.
On top of all that, this resort is blessed with a fantastic selection of soft sandy beaches, where you can easily while away a day in the sunshine. What’s more, with black volcanic reefs under the water, you’re spoilt when it comes to spectacular seascapes.

For relaxing retreat... Puerto Calero
Tranquillity seekers will be over the moon with this peaceful little resort. Puerto Calero is a serene spot, where spending the day sailing through gentle waves is about as fast-paced as it gets. So, if cruising the waves or heading out to sea on a relaxing boat trip is your cup of tea, then Puerto Calero will suit you down to the ground.
Or, if you prefer dry land and photoshoot-worthy destinations, then this pretty port town is a holiday heaven. Spend the day soaking up the sunshine, then head to Puerto Calero town and wander the glistening marina and snap pictures of town with swaying palm trees and beautiful mountains as your backdrop.
