Garda
Best for exploring

Bardolino

Although it’s renowned for its grape growing on vast vineyards up in the hills, Bardolino is also filled with pretty pastel houses adorning the docks of moored boats. Think mornings meandering along the waterfront, afternoons sampling local vino and evenings with a gelato in hand.

Every Thursday, Bardolino’s lakeside promenade becomes a hive of activity, thanks to the arrival of the weekly market. Scour the stalls for quirky keepsakes and delicious, homegrown produce.
Riva
Best for active types
The lakeside views are never-ending in Riva. But the water’s also what makes this resort such a thrill for adventure-seekers. It’s a haven for windsurfers, as well as budding mountain climbers and hikers. There’s plenty for cyclists to conquer too, like the trail to nearby Lake Ledro.

Malcesine
Best for stunning scenery
Perched at the foot of the Monte Baldo, Malcesine’s a full-on fairytale. Take the cable car to the top of the mountain and prepare for panoramas as far as the eye can see. Back in the town, there’s stacks in store for all ages. Water sports are particularly popular, so remember to pack your swimsuit!

Limone

Lemon-draped Limone delivers the zest of the best when it comes to backdrops. Aperitivo-hop along the harbourfront or cruise across to majestic Malcesine. Pencil in some time to enjoy Cola Beach and the range of restaurants too.
