Sneak in through the garden gate to see Juliet’s balcony when you visit Verona this summer. While Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers might belong in Fearless, which we matched with Sorrento, we’re bringing all the Lover vibes to this city of romance.
Visit one of Verona’s oldest and most famous monuments, Ponte Pietra, or venture to Castel San Pietro for breathtaking views across the city. When the sun sinks, you’d best believe the Eiffel Tower can still make the whole city shimmer and you can spot it from the legendary Arc the Triomphe or in Montmartre, on the steps of Sacré-Cœur. What else? Oh, the grape-grown goods, naturally! Pair your evening with cheap wine, make-believe it’s champagne, screw-top rosé or the real deal – we’ll leave that up to you…

The Tortured Poets Department – Vienna
So long, UK – we’re bolting to the classy, theatrical and elegant-as-ever Vienna. The white tones of the city’s architecture are only the beginning of a litany of reasons why the Austrian capital was meant for poetic Swifties.
The whole city is steeped in history – from baroque, medieval and imperial architecture to epic palaces and the house of music genius Mozart. Vienna truly beckons with its staggering scenes. Belvedere Palace, the Kunsthistoriches Museum, Palm House Gardens... the places to take your book and unwind by reading are endless here. Or why not stop by the gorgeous Austrian National Library for some light browsing? A bit of Aristotle or poetry, maybe?
