Tuscany

Sophie Gavins, Senior Content Executive

Our Sophie is gracing Tuscany with her presence. Rolling vineyards, terracotta towns and Renaissance splendour. We love it. Who wouldn’t? It’s a great place for exploration. Split your days between vineyard wine tastings, admiring green valley views and ticking off nearby cities, such as Lucca and Florence. If visiting the Riviera is on your to-travel list, you can expect golden sands and upmarket eateries. Dreamy food and wine? Yes, please.

Alcudia

Elle Wakefield, Apprentice Content Assistant

Alcudia is a people-pleaser. With its Blue Flag beaches, medieval Old Town and restaurant district, there’s nothing it’s lacking in. There are even Roman ruins and bustling markets. It’s a perfect family destination! And of course, when Elle has finished chasing her toddler around, she will recharge with local delicacies like charcoaled meats, paellas and freshly caught seafood at one of the many delightful restaurants.

Malaga and Budapest

Melissa Grimbaldeston, Content Assistant

Melissa takes the lead with not one but two holidays in her diary – the rest of us aren’t jealous at all… First up is Malaga. This Spanish seaside city boasts grand castles sitting on the shimmering Mediterranean, ancient arenas and superb cuisine. Explore the rich history and culture in the morning and you can be lounging on the glorious beach in the afternoon. Sounds perfect, right?

Her next trip is to Budapest. This cosmopolitan city is a mixed bag of beauty, culture and a whole lot of fun! Whether you’re an early bird or like to get a feel of a city’s nightlife, Hungary’s capital has it all. Amble through tree-lined boulevards before hitting a coffee shop, visit Fisherman’s Bastion or Buda Castle with a camera in hand or dance your socks off over at edgy Pest.

Marbella

Louisa Brumfield, Content Executive

There are endless things to do in Marbella and one thing’s for sure, Louisa will probably do them all. Or she’ll have a good try. There’s Nikki Beach, Marbella’s Old Quarter and Alameda Park. If you’re feeling really fancy, there’s Olivia Valere with a seriously swanky open-air restaurant, several bars and a terrace for al fresco cocktails. A stroll down the Golden Mile seafront is a must too. Don’t worry if you need to stop for a refreshment, there are plenty of places around.

Athens

Elzbieta Voveryte, Content Assistant & Olivia Matthews, Content Executive

Athens is a firm favourite for the team next year. Liz is visiting this historical city for a romantic break, and Liv is sure to be ticking off as many world-renowned sights as she can. Talking of love, Athens is the beating heart of Ancient Greece and ancient it is... You can’t miss a walk along the Grand Promenade from the Acropolis to Plaka. And the best part? Everything’s within walking distance! After your daytime meanderings and history hunting, there are rooftop cocktail bars, live DJ sets and superclubs waiting. If this sounds up your street, don’t forget to pack some comfy shoes.

Marrakech

Ashleigh Jones, Senior Content Executive

Ash is heading to the ‘Red City’, as have a few other members of the team this year. Anybody would think it is one of our newer destinations! The relaxed Moroccan lifestyle is easy to find, whether you’re exploring the city or seeking out the suburbs. The year-round sunshine makes it a top choice for sunbathers. Did we mention giant tagines, succulent meats and delicious couscous? It might be a wise idea to tick off fun activities like camel rides, spa treatments and horse-drawn carriages before you fill your belly… We’ll hear about it all when you get back, Ash!
