What to wear where

IGLAL

Minimalist, maximalist or just working through your bucket list? Whatever your sense of holiday style, our map is bursting at the seams with destinations to dress for. We’re talking less aircraft hangar, more coat hanger. So prepare to make the most of all that suitcase space...

Copenhagen, Denmark

Scandi-cool meets streetwear in Copenhagen, where there’s a flair for the functional yet bold. It’s in with capsule wardrobes here, which happens to be pretty handy when you’re packing (ahem, remember you’ll have 22kg baggage AND 10kg hand luggage on a Jet2CityBreak). Mix structure with quirkiness by going for a staple oversized blazer along with colourful knits (especially if you’re there for the Christmas markets), baggy jeans and chunky trainers.

Berlin, Germany

Anything goes in Berlin, Germany’s eclectic capital. Basically, it bridges gaps between edgy, underground and grungy, while you’ll still find high-fashion shops to browse between the endless sightseeing. As expression and creativity are stitched into the city’s fabric, you’ll also stumble across vintage stores. Why not flick through the pegs? Be prepared to embrace DIY looks that are a bit of you too, and leather jackets and big combat boots will never go out of fashion. Eye-catching accessories and black tees and jeans? Sorted.

Rome, Italy

Too glam to give a damn about melting gelato – that's the look to go for in Rome (but hopefully minus the melting, let’s face it). This Italian icon is a city so famous and fabulous that it begs for garms to fit in with the art and architecture. Think sun-soaked and a dash of drama. It’s a place where bespoke one-offs are just as essential as flowing maxi dresses on those warmer days. And the same can be said for linen co-ords, strappy sandals and circular sunnies – get them in the case now. Pro tip – dress to impress, even for a stroll. You never know who you might see.

Paris, France

Effortless chic – the two words put together sum up Paris so well, we could just stop there. But instead, let them conjure up visions of neutral tones, tailored pieces and subtle elegance. In the French capital, the only assignment is keeping it minimal but polished – primed and ready to strut down the Champs-Élysées. A great trench coat will be your best friend, as well as stripy tops and the quintessential beret. No cap – in every sense. Bring on the wide-leg trousers, sleek loafers or balletcore pumps, and a baguette bag (obviously we mean shape, not a tote from the boulangerie... though what a mood).

Aegina, Greece

If you’re on the hunt for a beachy Jet2holiday to an under-the-radar, hidden gem, you’ll enjoy the breezy island vibes with Grecian twists in Aegina. The dinky isle wrote the book on postcard-worthy good looks, where cruise collections and resort shirts are as ten-a-penny as lip-smacking gyros eateries. White cottons, earthy tones and gold jewellery give ‘Greek god/goddess on vacation’, and we’re here for it. So, dig out all your light fabrics and natural tops and bottoms, and you’ll be embodying the Aegina locals.

Marrakech, Morocco

Blues, reds, tea-stained sepias, oh, and everything in between – the colour wheel doesn't stop spinning in Marrakech. The Moroccan city’s known for its buzzing Jemaa el-Fna square and various gardens, but vibey fashion really steals the show. It’s one of the most aesthetic destinations we fly to! Marrakech simply oozes modest, off-the-rack confidence with bold colours and textures dominating the everyday. Don your vivid kaftans and printed, wide-leg trousers, with woven bags and flip-flops to round things off. When it comes to patterns, make them extra. Just be sure you respect local culture too – that's where floaty silhouettes and covered shoulders shine.

Pula and Istrian Coast, Croatia

Our final fit check is where coastal-casual is coded with Euro charm. We’re obsessed with Croatia from a travel POV – hello, terracotta-topped towns. But that doesn’t mean you have to literally blend in. Wear linen shorts, retro swimsuits (who doesn’t like a throwback?), sporty sandals or trainers, and bucket hats (yep, they’re still trending… somehow). And that’s just how it’s done, whether you’re exploring or chilling. So, whatever’s on the itinerary, go nautical with a nod to ready-to-wear vintage – perfect for boat days and old-town strolls.
