Thinking about a villa holiday this year, but need some expert guidance? We’ve got just the people!
We chatted to Sara, Product Brand Manager, and Rosie, Product Executive after they jetted off on a trip to Lanzarote to check out some of our new villa properties...
Hello! What would you say are the main benefits of a villa holiday?
“First of all, it’s all your own, private space. It’s the complete package where everything is included. It’s stress free and there’s space for all the family. There really is something for everyone!”
What is your favourite thing about villa holidays?
“The fact that you can all be together as a family, but you all still have a private room.”
“I like the privacy of having my own space and having that home-from-home comfort. It’s also never rushed, like having to have breakfast at a certain time.”
What would be your top tip for people who have never tried a villa holiday?
“Always look at the location of where you want to be. The surrounding area is key if you want to get out and about and explore.”
“Check beforehand if there’s pool heating available! If you’re holidaying outside of the summer months, it just helps to take the chill off the pool.”
What is your favourite villa holiday destination?
“Definitely Lanzarote! Each area has its own characteristics, so there’s a location that’s perfect for you. There’s great weather all year round and with car hire, it’s easy to navigate around the island. Plus, there are lots of activities and sights to see.”
Why are villa holidays good for families?
“You have your own space but can come together for good-quality family time, like at dinner or when playing games in the pool.”
Describe your perfect day on a villa holiday…
“Wake up, lounge around the pool with your local, freshly made croissant. Then, hop in your hire car and enjoy an excursion or visit a local attraction. Afterwards, venture back to the villa for a lazy afternoon around the pool. Power the barbecue up and get some games out in the evening. Bliss!”
What is your essential item to pack to take on a villa holiday?
“Board games and pool inflatables for the family to enjoy together. Oh, and slippers to help you feel even more at home!”
“A couple of dishwasher/washing machine tablets so you can do the essential cleaning without having to go out and purchase a full pack.”
Why should people choose a villa holiday over a hotel-based holiday?
“There’s no rushing for sunbeds by the pool in the morning – all our villas have enough sunbeds for everyone in the villa. You can eat when you want and drink when you want as there are no set times for meals. Once the kids are in bed, there’s no creeping around, and you still have plenty of space to enjoy the rest of your night. Plus, there’s no closing time for the pool!”
