Stubai Zoo, Austria

Some of the world’s best riders flock to Stubai to hone their skills before the season starts. Sitting pretty at 3,000m, you can expect snow-sure slopes from as early as October. The Gaiskarferner T-bar lift and the Zoo shuttle make sure you can clock up plenty of runs. The park pros whizz down the Medium Line, which is dotted with rails in all shapes and sizes. Parallel to this, you’ll spot the Flow Line, where beginners can build their confidence on smaller kickers, tubes and boxes.
Ischgl Snowpark, Austria

This dynamic setup is the ideal playground for seasoned shredders. There are two designated spots, boasting over 14 elements each. The highlight? The large air bag at the end of the course. If you’re travelling with youngsters, point them in the direction of the Funline run. A snow tunnel, mini boxes and so much more awaits. There’s even a chill out area by the exit, so you can catch your breath before you go again!
The Stash – Avoriaz, France

Brainchild of Burton, a popular snowboard brand, the Stash is a must-conquer if you’re staying in the Portes du Soleil region. Designed using dead wood from the local area, it shines a spotlight on sustainability. The runs weave through the Lindarets forest and are studded with wooden sculptures and modules. The kids can get stuck in too, thanks to the Lil’Stash area.
PenkenPark, Austria

Mayrhofen’s crowning glory, the PenkenPark has something to suit every skill level across the Pro Area, Advanced Area, Medium Area, MediumJib Area and KidsPark. It’s serviced by the four-person Sun-Jet chairlift – fab if you want to squeeze in as many runs as possible. Each season, they add new rails and obstacles, all expertly prepared by a team of international crew of shapers.
Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn, Austria

Open from October to May, the Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn can be enjoyed throughout autumn and spring. If you’re just starting out, head for the Easy Park and Central Park and navigate your way around the dinky boxes, kickers and rails. Practice makes perfect, after all! The superpipe is not for the faint hearted, with six-metre-high walls.
