Want to make memories and make a difference? With our Certified Sustainable Hotels, you can do just that. Plus, find out how to make small changes that make a big difference.

Travel light, tread lightly
Small changes to holiday prep and how you get around can make a big difference to being more sustainable while you’re away. The more we pack, the heavier our suitcases and the more fuel our planes use, so why not stick to the essentials by picking outfits where you can mix and match? Plus, lighter bags mean less stress when travelling with little ones.
Get savvy with reusables
We’re talking coffee cups, water bottles and refillable toiletry bottles. And it’s even easier now that so many airports have water refill stations. Make sure you top up after security and save on forking out for expensive airport drinks for the kids.

Lower-emission transport
On a Jet2holiday? Once you’ve arrived, make the most of your included coach transfer – it's one of the most sustainable ways to get to and from the airport because you’ll be sharing with fellow holidaymakers. When it comes to getting out and about, consider using public transport – the kids will love the novelty of buses or trams in a brand-new country. Hiring a bike or exploring on foot is also a great way to see more of a place (and avoid parking hassles!).

Nature’s playground
There’s nothing quite like the great outdoors, so why not teach the kids about sustainability by taking them to a national park, farm or nature reserve? Not only is it good for the planet, but it’s also great for everyone’s physical and mental wellbeing too, and what’s more important than that? Krka National Park and Teide National Park are both firm favourites of ours.
Support local
Whether it’s a homemade pastel de nata in the local bakery or a juicy gyros in a family-run taverna, supporting local businesses contributes to being sustainable too. Picking up handmade goodies together means you can bag some great souvenirs or presents for family or friends, and you can build good habits together that last beyond the holiday!

Stay a more responsible way
Our Certified Sustainable Hotels collection gives you the option to choose accommodation that meets an official global standard for sustainability as part of your package with us.
These hotels have been assessed by an independent organisation against strict criteria to become certified as sustainable, including things like reducing energy, water and waste to using local and reusable products. And they come in all shapes and sizes across a wide range of our destinations, so there's something for everyone. Plus, we're working with our hotel partners to help more of them become certified as sustainable, so our collection can grow bigger and better.
