Whether you’re the dance-until-dawn type or prefer low-key evenings nattering over a glass of tinto de verano (red wine and lemon soda), Seville’s nightlife covers all bases. We’ve bar-hopped our way around the city in search of the best after-dark spots...
La Carboneria
With live music and flamenco shows almost every evening, this is one of the best places to be if you’re after somewhere with a bit of a buzz. Watch the spellbinding performances, then tuck into tasty tapas plates.
The Corner House
This rooftop bar can be found in the hipster hangout, Plaza Alameda de Hércules. Come for the chilled-out vibes and reggae music but stay for the knockout views. They even have heaters and blankets on hand for the cooler months.
La Terraza del Hotel Inglaterra
For a sophisticated soirée, you can’t beat this lofty locale, perched on top of the 170-year-old Hotel Inglaterra. It’s particularly popular at sunset, when you can sip cocktails while the sky turns into candyfloss colours.
Urbano Comix
Tucked away in the Santa Catalina district, this hidden gem features retro décor, vintage arcade games and a pool table. Craft beers are on the menu, and it stays open until 4:30am on a Friday and Saturday!
The Gintonería
Fans of the classic G&T will be in their element here. Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla is an obvious choice but there are plenty of others to choose from. Not your fave tipple? Don’t worry, other spirits and cocktails are available too.
La Terrazza de EME
Get ready to soak up the city’s skyline from this rooftop bar. Set across two levels of the EME hotel, you can expect five-star service and masterful mixologists as standard.
El Rinconcillo
Welcome to one of Seville’s oldest bars, dating back to the 17th century. Step inside and let the traditional décor and antiques transport you back in time. Crispy calamari and pork loin are just two of the delicious dishes on offer.
The Second Room
Cosy coffee shop by day, classy cocktail bar by night, the Second Room lays on the lot. It’s ideal for an post-dinner beverage, with an extensive menu of flavoursome creations to sip your way through. Sunday to Thursday, there’s not one but two happy hours, from 5pm until 6pm and 9pm until 10pm.
Top tips: Like most of the country, the nightlife here doesn’t really get going until after midnight. Alameda De Hercules and Alfalfa are the most popular meeting points for youngsters, while the Triana neighbourhood delivers a more authentic slice of Spain.
