Nestled in the picturesque Valira Valley, Pal-Arinsal's a top choice for Andorran adventures. And for good reason! With a compact, well-organised layout and over 60km of pistes, you can bank on snow-sure slopes and friendly, local hospitality. The best bit? With handy Jet2.com ski flights to Barcelona Airport, plus the option to add 22kg hold baggage and ski carriage*, you could be conquering the slopes in no time.

The resort

The resort features two sectors, Pal and Arinsal, connected by cable car and with direct access from both La Massana and the village of Arinsal. The resort infrastructure is modern, yet the villages have retained a cosy, rustic charm. When it comes to snoozing spots, accommodation options range from budget-friendly apartments to luxury lodges. Ski-in, ski-out spots make it easy to hit the slopes without fuss, and there are plenty of rental shops, where you can buy or rent everything from skis and snowboards to helmets and winter gear. Want to explore more? The Nord Pass gives you access to the resorts of the Northern Valleys, while the Andorra Pass covers all of Andorra’s ski resorts.

The slopes

Pal-Arinsal is fab for all skill levels, with clearly marked runs and well-groomed pistes. The Pal sector is ideal for newbies, thanks to the gentle blues, where you can gain your confidence. There’s a dedicated beginners’ area in Arinsal too, complete with magic carpets and instructors ready to help you master the basics. The ski schools here are highly rated and you can book private or group lessons. Once you’ve found your flow, head for reds like Coma del Forat and Pla de la Cot. There’s less on offer for advanced skiers and boarders here, but you can still test your mettle on the handful of black runs. Fan of freestyle? The Arinsal Snowpark features rails, boxes and kickers suitable for beginners and pros alike.

The après

Après-ski in Pal-Arinsal is relaxed and social, with a mix of lively bars and quiet mountain huts. Try Borda de l’Avi or Restaurant La Fonda for hearty Pyrenean cuisine like stews, grilled meats and cheese platters. Cim & Cava in Arinsal is another classic après hotspot, with outdoor seating, DJs on weekends and a great selection of local beers and sparkling wine. These bars start to fill up between 3 and 4pm, so hit the slopes early if you want a prime terrace spot. Non-skiers are well catered for too. From snowshoeing and winter hiking to tobogganing and sledding, you won’t be short of things to do. Many of the hotels have spa facilities too, so you can unwind in stunning surroundings.
