There’s been plenty packed into the first four weeks of 2024’s Love Island. From recoupling to dumping, let’s look back at the most iconic villa moments so far...
#1 The islander’s faces when Joey Essex entered the villa
Just when you thought the Love Island producers couldn’t shake things up anymore, they sent the first ever celebrity contestant into the villa. The self-proclaimed ‘king of Essex’ is ready to find his ‘queen’. First Samantha, then Grace – could Jessy be the one?
#2 Grace and Joey’s night away
Joey had a blast from the past in week two, when his old flame Grace Jackson came into the villa as a bombshell. She picked him for a #saucysleepover and night away from the villa where they appeared to rekindle their romance. Drama was on the horizon...
#3 The Heart Rate Challenge
It was the challenge we’d all be waiting for and, when it came to getting those pulses racing, the islanders certainly understood the assignment. Feathers were ruffled when the results came in, with Grace raising Ciaran’s heart race the most. As expected, it didn’t go down too well with Nicole. They caught up on the daybed later about it and Ciaran said:
“Just because my heart rate has gone for someone else, doesn’t mean I fancy them”
With Nicole arguing:
“You clearly do” And leaving viewers wondering whether this was it for the Welsh pair...
#4 Eve’s villa performance
Who’s that girl? It’s only hip-hop superstar Eve, of course. The noughties star entered the villa for a VIP performance, belting out songs like ‘Let Me Blow Ya Mind’, ‘Who’s That Girl’, and ‘Tambourine’. As a big fan of the show, she was keen to snap a selfie with the islanders before she left. We don’t blame you, Eve.
#5 Nicole and Ciaran said the L word
The heart race challenge was clearly a thing of the past for the love birds, because in last Friday’s episode, Ciaran dropped the L bomb with those three little words. Sounds pretty official to us...
#6 Casa Amor night one
Yep, you heard that right, Casa Amor is back and ready to ruffle some feathers. It’s only been one day, but new girl Jess has already got Ayo’s head doing a 180, while Ciaran was surprised to bump into a familiar face. It’s going to be an eventful week and we can’t wait.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
