Love Island is officially back, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Each week, we’ll be looking back on some of our favourite moments from the show in a little something we like to call, Love Island: Unpacked.

So, fancy a quick recap on some of the action from week 1? Say no more...

#1 The islanders entering the villa

Just when you thought things couldn’t get more exciting, Love Island hit us with a huge twist during the first episode. This year, the islanders didn’t get to choose who they coupled up with, and instead had to rely on a public vote to find their perfect match.

The question is... did the public get it right? Only time will tell...

#2 The first bombshell arrived

What do they do when all the couples look relatively settled in their pairs? Send in a surprise bombshell... obviously. Zach caused a stir as soon as he arrived, turning heads left, right and centre. Jess admitted that she liked how Zach was “playing it cool”, and Catherine confessed he was a “bit of [her]”.

But now it’s Molly who seems to have caught Zach’s eye... so who will he go for? Decisions decisions.

#3 Whitney touched down on the island of love

André, you’ve got a text!

25-year-old Londoner, Whitney Adebayo, was the next bombshell to enter the villa, and summoned André to the beach for a champagne date. Things seemed to go pretty well, but was Whitney’s head turned the following morning?

Medhi pulled the new bombshell for a chat, telling her he liked her personality and confidence. When Whitney quizzed him on his “top 2 in the villa”, he replied, “you”.

We sense a potential romance... but will Whitney put all her eggs in Medhi’s basket?

#4 The islanders gather around the firepit for an eventful evening

During a game, the islanders were given various challenges and, let’s just say, things got a little heated. Molly was asked to kiss the 3 islanders she has the most sexual tension with, and chose Zachariah, Mitchel and Tyrique.

Zach was then asked to kiss the islander he’d most like to have a ‘sneaky link’ with if his current partner wasn’t in the villa, and he chose Molly.

2 kisses in 1 night... should Mitchel be worried?

#5 The hideaway terrace opens for another new bombshell

Last night, we said hello to Project Manager, Sammy, from Kent. Sammy chose 3 girls to take on a date to the hideaway terrace, and fancied his chances with Ella, Molly and Jess.

The girls glammed up and made their way over to the hideaway to get to know Sammy, but Jess was the most excited by far, given that the new bombshell was her type on paper.

But who will Sammy choose to couple up with? We can’t wait to find out...
