Verbier, Switzerland
Fly to Geneva
When it comes to off-piste opportunities, après-ski activities and stunning scenery, Verbier reigns supreme. Along with Bruson, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon, it makes up Switzerland’s largest ski area — the 4 Vallées. How does 410km of pristine pistes sound? In between all the toing and froing, make time for chocolat chaud stops and lingering lunches on sun-kissed terraces. While you’re here, don’t miss the freeriding route through Vallon d’Arbi to La Tzoumaz.

Courmayeur, Italy
Fly to Geneva
Alpine adventures are on the cards in classy Courmayeur. Make your way around the modest 42km ski area, then hop on the bus to nearby La Thuile to rack up some more kilometres. You’ll be able to tick off the French resort of La Rosiere too! On an evening, it’s all about sipping the local tipple in a cosy wine bar or boutique-hopping around the town. In need of a pamper? Head across to QC Terme Pré Saint Didier, a state-of-the-art spa.

Zermatt, Switzerland
Fly to Geneva
There’s an air of exclusivity in Switzerland’s Zermatt. Maybe it’s those iconic Matterhorn views or perhaps it’s the stellar selection of sophisticated hotels, either way, you’re in for a real treat. 360km of terrific terrain is yours to conquer and there are lots of restaurants on hand for when you’re feeling peckish. Down in the town, a whimsical wonderland of wooden chalets and horse-drawn sleighs awaits.

Courchevel, France
Fly to Chambery
Courchevel is often at the top of the pile when it comes to luxury ski holidays. And with its fine-dining restaurants and high-end shops, it’s easy to see why. You’ll also have access to the world’s largest linked ski area, the Three Valleys. Of the resort’s four villages, Courchevel 1850 has the biggest luxe factor, attracting the rich and the royals. Why not go all out and round off a day on the slopes with a meal at Le Chabichou? It boasts not one, but two Michelin stars.

St. Moritz, Switzerland
Fly to Innsbruck Airport
Squirrelled away in the heart of the Swiss Alps, world-class skiing and luxury accommodation intertwine here. The resort itself is split into three villages. Dorf is best if you are looking for swish restaurants and vibrant nightlife, St. Moritz Bad is more relaxed, and Celerina offers the best of both worlds. All three have lifts which will connect you to the main ski area, Corviglia. With 155km of pistes to explore, you’ll have plenty to keep you busy for a week or more.
