If Mykonos had a middle name, it would be luxury. No doubt about it. This oh-so exclusive isle gleams in A-lister-approved glory with its boujee beach clubs and swanky champagne bars – it’s the place to be seen and snapped. So much so, that Claudia Schiffer, Elon Musk, Paris Hilton and Nicole Scherzinger are just handful of the celebs who’ve been papped here in the past. Ooh, fancy.
Want to holiday like a VIP? This swish shortlist will have you feeling like the superstar you are in no time…

Sip Champagne in Negrita, Mykonos Town
Book a sunset seat at this whimsical waterside wonder and you won’t regret it. Enter Negrita bar from the street and you’ll see hand-painted walls before passing under a bougainvillea-weaved walkway to paradise. When it comes to tipples, expect big-spender cocktail menus and champers ranging from Moët to Armand De Brignac (which comes in at a cool €1,100 a bottle!).

Watch the sun sink down at 180º Sunset Bar
Welcome to one of the island’s most sought-after sunset spots that’s perched on a hill above the Old Port. It’s a case of ‘if your name’s not down, you’re not coming in’ at this reservation-only hangout, so expect minimum-spend slots but maximum-impact scenes. The soundtrack as the ambers and peaches blotch the evening sky is theatrical to say the least…

Spend a day at Super Paradise Beach
Forget red carpets, gold is the backdrop of choice on this glitzy stretch of sun-kissed sand. One word: Exclusive. From the sunlounger hire to the sipping spots, everything carries a premium price tag on Super Paradise Beach – it’s the place to be seen. So go on, slip into your chicest outfit, don the designer accessories and head on down to the sleekest shorefront stretch in town.

And a night at JackieO’s
Want to do Mykonos right? Introducing the most famous club, on the most famous beach, of the most famous Greek Island. JackieO’ is an LGBTQ+ island institution, complete with 150-seat restaurant, exclusive events and a sister bar right on Mykonos Town harbour. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? You bet.

Shop at Gucci in Mykonos Town
Well, you’re in Mykonos, after all. But if you’re not in the market for a swanky handbag or statement sunnies (and who isn’t?), you can always enjoy a bit of window shopping. The courtyard to the front is equally as impressive, and there’s even a cheeky statue (quite literally). Gucci not your thing? The town centre’s chocca with so-called ‘concept stores’ with minimalistic fashion, maximum impact.

Indulge in fine dining
There’s dining and then there’s dining in Mykonos Town – expect flash and then some. Fancy a side of celeb with your sushi? Then look no further than fashionista favourite, Nobu. And it’s in good company here, thanks to Interni’s swoon-worthy lantern-lit terrace that has the A-listers flocking – FYI reservations are essential.

Rent a boat from Ornos Beach
Looking for the ultimate way to turn heads? There’s getting around by car, and then there’s sailing across the waves on your own private boat… we know which we’d rather do! Look out for the boat hire sign on Ornos Beach, it’s opposite Porto Ornos restaurant. For around €100, you’ll get a private captain and an hour cruising between some of Mykonos’ most exclusive beaches. Limos are so last year.

Stay at an Indulgent Escapes hotel
You could have the most star-studded itinerary and ritzy restaurant reservations but the only way to ensure true elegance on your Mykonos getaway is by checking in to a five-star Indulgent Escapes hotel. Take Myconian Naia for example. From its outstanding design to the gourmet Mediterranean restaurant, this dreamy retreat was made for romantic escapes – plus the chic pool deck is perfect for lazy days.
So there you have it… your ultimate guide to living the luxe life in Mykonos. From the best sunset spots to the most unmissable island-must-dos, your VIP plan is in place. Next step? Getting a date in the diary!
