Morocco’s Agadir region is no slouch in the scenery stakes, so you can bet there are plenty of places where you can make the most of golden hour. Whether you’re soaking up the views from a beachfront restaurant or enjoying your sun salutations in a yoga class, prepare for your camera roll to be full...

Surf lessons
Sunrise and sunset surf sessions are incredibly popular around these parts, and for good reason. It doesn’t matter if you’re a first-timer or a seasoned pro – there’s something extra-special about being in the water at this time. Taghazout, just north of Agadir, boasts some of the standout surfing spots. Banana Beach is best for beginners, while Devil’s Rock offers more of a challenge. You could also try stand-up paddleboarding or jet skiing.
Serene strolls
Agadir’s promenade is tailor-made for leisurely ambles at both dawn and dusk. Lined with palm trees, it’s easy to while away a few hours wandering up and down the seafront, especially if you’re stopping to take loads of pics. And you definitely should! Plus, there are lots of vibrant cafés, where you can experience the buzz of local life.
Rooftop bars
On an evening, add a rooftop bar to your itinerary and prepare to be dazzled. Restaurant Saykouk is a fab choice, boasting picturesque panoramas, as well as a delicious food menu. Rooftop Borj is worth a visit too, offering views of the bay and city and a lively atmosphere.

Yoga classes
Start or finish your day in the most relaxing way with a yoga class. Many yoga studios have large, floor-to-ceiling windows, meaning you can make the most of the colour-soaked light. Take this time to disconnect from your devices and reconnect with your mind, body and soul. Why not stay at a wellness hotel, where you’ll have activities like yoga and meditation included?
Beachfront restaurants
Bit of a foodie? You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to beachfront eateries. Ô Playa is a fave. Super-fresh seafood, succulent steak, silky pasta… it’s whatever you fancy. Save room for dessert too! Or how about an evening at Pure Passion? Seafood is the star of the show here but it’s the fantastic location which will win you over.

Iconic sights
Ask any local where the best place in Agadir to catch the sunset is, and they’ll likely say the Kasbah. You can hop on the cable car to get up to this historic viewpoint and it only takes six minutes. Time it right and you’ll get to experience the Atlantic Ocean cloaked in candyfloss colours. It runs until 10.30pm too, so you won’t need to rush back down.
