Great for getting the family together

While it has many relaxing pluses for adults, it’s a champion for families. There’s an aqua park with slides to whizz and whoosh down, and an indoor play area to keep the little ones entertained. With these safe spaces available, in turn, it’s sure to mean grown-ups stay grinning as well. Of course, those heated pools are ideal for you all to splash around in as a family too.

But the crowning glory is Upupa, a dedicated children’s club that’s run by expertly trained staff, who will make sure your clan have the very best time. It’s split into three as well, so tots, 4-to-12-year-olds and teens all have their own different sets of things to do. Food corners, workshops, soft play, cinemas... the list goes on.

Events and entertainment

Offering daily entertainment and professional cabaret shows twice a week, Cullinan is quite the place for thrills. Arts and crafts, racquet sports and team games on a small scale are yours to take part in during the day – which generally appeals more for those that have children in tow. Then, when the evenings roll in, live DJ sets by the pool and various after-parties will be there soak up as well. Feeling the beat couldn’t be better in summer either.

On top of the music, the months bring with them a series of choreographed theatre performances and so much more. Two directors behind a number of popular TV shows curated The Diamond Show specifically for the hotel, so that’s well worth watching.

Grand gastronomy

It couldn’t be simpler to make each mealtime an occasion here, with All Inclusive Plus as the standard board. That means your three daily meals are provided, as well as a selection of snacks and international and branded drinks – the latter being on tap 24 hours a day.

Throughout Summer 2023, the hotel is happy to lay on a selection of culinary displays at its Gastronomy Festival every month until August. ‘Michelin Stars Shine at Cullinan’ exhibits the freshest, most magically mouth-watering morsels from top-ranking chefs, covering a range of cuisine. There’s Italian from 24-25 June, Dutch and South American between 18-19 July, and Russian on 20-21 August.

But no taste bud goes unsatisfied at any time at Cullinan, regardless of age and taste, thanks to the remarkable 13 restaurants and 19 bars, open and raring to stir your senses. You can bank on every kind of fare too, from fish shacks to teppanyaki grills, Turkish snack outlets to an extensive, palate-pleasing bistro.

As for the top-notch tipples, al fresco cocktails are just as much the done thing come sundown as ice-cold glasses of vino in the lobby bar. There’s even a coffee outlet to acquire your caffeine fix. Noble Irish Pub adds a fun twist on your wining and dining experience, and you can swim up to the pool bar when the need for refreshments strikes as well. Sweet tooth? The on-site chocolatier shines with sugary, glossy-sheened bites of bliss.

Furthermore, if you’re a keen cyclist renting a bike, you may also be pleased to know that dedicated, nutritional menus are available to delight in too.
