As seen on TV, The Canary Islands with Jane McDonald is a brand-new series uncovering the joys of the sun-kissed Canaries with Jet2holidays. In the first of four episodes, the TV star heads to Tenerife to find out what island life is all about.

If you’re bananas about bananas and manage to peel yourself away from the main Tenerife holiday hotspots, why not check out a banana plantation? The stars of the show loved finding out bunches of fun facts, like why some bananas grow up and some grow down, all while wandering between the tall trees draped with the famous fruit. They even sampled banana jam and banana wine – who knew?

What better way to cool off than at Europe’s biggest waterpark, Siam Park? Sprawling across a huge 46 acres, this wonderful water kingdom has heaps of attractions to keep everyone happy – are you daring enough to try some of the slides shown in the episode?
