Antalya Area
If you’re after boujee beaches, great golf or ancient history, the Antalya region of Turkey offers it all. The hotels here are unrivalled, with quality service and impeccable facilities oozing from them all. And the best part? They’re uber-affordable. Resort-wise, Lara Beach is a highly sought-after area, attracting visitors with its white-sand beaches and glamourous lifestyle. Meanwhile, Belek is a haven for holidaymakers wanting to tee off in postcard-worthy settings, and Side is a culture vulture’s paradise boasting some of the finest ancient ruins in Turkey. The spring temperatures here are delightful as well, sitting between 21-26°C throughout April and May! And with prices as low as £20 for a meal for two, a spring getaway to Antalya couldn’t be better.

Budapest
Who doesn’t love the idea of a spring city break? We certainly do! Especially when the destination is as budget-friendly as Budapest. The city is parted down the centre by the Danube, giving you two parts of Budapest to explore. Get lost in the UNESCO-stamped west side as you wander the cobbled streets and explore the stunning architecture. Then let the good times roll over in the east, as you find the perfect pint in quirky pubs or dance the night away at underground clubs. The Hungarian capital ticks all the boxes for an affordable spring getaway – temperatures made for exploring, short flight times and a pint for as cheap as £1.50... need we say more?

Costa Blanca
This Costa is an endless sea of idyllic towns to explore and beautiful beaches to lounge on. It's where you can take it easy in Benidorm, roam the blue-domed buildings of Altea, or enjoy a dip in the azure waters in Moraira. The Costa Blanca has something for everyone! Meander over to the famous limestone rock of Calpe and learn about the town’s history as you visit centuries-old buildings. Then why not travel south to the charming town of Altea, where you can wander between whitewashed buildings and pick up some handmade jewellery? Or hit Benidorm for some fun in the sun! It’s ideal for neon-lit nights and kicking back on sunloungers to soak up that spring sunshine. With temperatures up to 24°C by May here, you’ll be getting that tan started before you know it!

Costa Brava
All the ‘de Mars’ await you along the Costa Brava – from Lloret de Mar to Tossa de Mar, you’ve got endless options for a bargain spring getaway! Tossa de Mar boasts Blue Flag beaches fab for absorbing the spring sun, while Lloret de Mar is super if you fancy keeping things fun! Visit one of the waterparks during the day and then find your new favourite bar to sip cocktails in. Delve into Girona's top-notch food scene for some delightful dining or uncover the historic terracotta town of Pineda de Mar. When you’ve got flight times under three hours and a meal for two only setting you back about £20, this Costa’s calling your name for a spring getaway.

Costa del Sol
The last, but certainly not the least of the Costas in this round-up is the Costa del Sol. The expanse of Mediterranean coastline houses some of the hottest spots for tourists. Benalmadena and Torremolinos are highly visited, thanks to their long stretches of golden sands and fantastic-for-families resorts. Shopping and feasting are high on the agenda in Fuengirola, while Nerja is made for riverside strolling or lounging on one of the many spectacular beaches. Add Marbella and Estepona into the mix and you’re spoilt for choice in the Costa del Sol. Plus, an extra bonus is its affordability factor. With local beer costing around £2 and a meal for two roughly £20, your bank won’t feel the strain on a jolly here!

Krakow
Next up on the city breaks bucket list is captivating Krakow. This southern Polish city remains cooler in April and May, rarely exceeding 20 °C, so it’s an ace spring getaway location for those wanting to delve into sightseeing outside the heat of the summer. The city has an exceptionally well-preserved medieval core and boasts splendid architecture throughout. Visit Wawel Castle, which is one the most important historical sites in Krakow, before wandering to the Old Town to behold St. Mary’s Basilica and Florianska Gate. The great thing about a break here is that it’s very budget-accommodating. A meal for two only costs about £30 and you can bag a travel card to explore to city for around £5!

Madeira
A spring getaway to Madeira gives you a little bit of everything. Long stretches of coastline? Check. Colourful towns with centuries-old culture? Check. Great value? Check! There’s just so much to discover when visiting this Atlantic oasis. Its mighty mountain landscape can be seen from all corners of the island, and the rocky cliffs make for stunning backdrops against the shores. The quaint towns of Canico and Santa Cruz boast pebbled patches, while the capital city of Funchal is the place to be for characterful streets, stylish restaurants and gorgeous architecture. The temperatures in spring sit in the low 20s, which creates the ultimate climate for getting around the island. And with a pint of local beer less than £3, this spring holiday will feel like a bargain!

Majorca
Springtime in Majorca brings a unique feeling of bliss. The temperatures on this Balearic Island can reach the mid 30s in the summer, so a spring trip is ideal if you’re after cooler temperatures. You’ll have endless location choices, from partying in Magalluf to lounging on the sands all day in Cala Millor – there’s something for everyone. If you’re after rugged mountains and epic cycling trails, then western Majorca will be your oyster. Or if days on the beach are more your pace, you’ve got plenty to pick from, as Majorca boasts more than 200 of them! Some of the most brilliant beaches can be found along the stretch of eastern coastline from Porto Cristo, through Sa Coma and up to Cala Bona. Short flight times and extremely affordable food and drink means Majorca ticks all the boxes for a spring getaway on a budget.

Menorca
Hopping east across the Balearic Sea from Majorca, you land on the majestic island of Menorca. The landscape here is breathtaking – it’s easy to see why it’s a UNESCO-protected site. Wherever you go, you’ll be met by staggering scenery. From the top of Monte Toro to the white-sand shores of Cala Galdana, beauty engulfs the area. The larger towns of Mahon and Ciutadella both boast incredible architecture, with the Santa Maria of Ciutadella Cathedral and the renaissance-esque city hall of Mahon being notable mentions. For less hustle and bustle and more beach lazing, the calmer towns of Cala’n Porter and Punta Prima are fab for chilling in the rays. The food, drink and travel costs are seriously favourable, so it’s a no-brainer to get Menorca added to your spring getaway list!

Prague
Another member of the Jet2CityBreaks family that makes the cut is the capital of the Czech Republic. Sitting at the heart of Europe, Prague has bragging rights to fairytale features and historical attractions for all. Must-see sites such as St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge and Prague Castle are just a few reasons to swing by. Lots of the attractions are free of charge too, which is an added bonus, so pop a visit to Vyšehrad Cemetery to your itinerary to spy headstones made of works of art, or how about the Petrin Funicular Railway? Temperatures don’t often teeter past the 20°C mark during springtime, so you can comfortably explore. It’s also one of the most affordable European cities, with travel cards costing you less than £5 and local pints under £2! Reward yourself with a night in the pub after all that walking.

The Algarve
Finally, though ranked in no order, we have the Algarve. Azure waters, ochre-tinged cliffs and colourful towns are found in spades along Portugal's south coast. Temperatures on average reach around 24°C, so we’d call that tanning weather, meaning you can guarantee beach days on this spring getaway! But it’s not just beautiful beaches on offer – the Algarve has become a playground for golfers, culture fans and surfers. From the championship golf course in Vilamoura to the whitewashed Old Town in Albufeira, and the ripping waves in Lagos, everybody’s kept happy. You can expect wallet-winning prices too. With many meals coming in at around £30, you can unwind carefree after your action-packed days.
