We get it, there’s a whole lot involved with deciding when to holiday – timings, climate, travel logistics and cost to name just few! Tricky, eh?

First thing’s first, let’s address cost. Easy! We’re currently offering £60pp off ALL July to October Summer 2024 holidays* with a free myJet2 account, so whichever month you choose, savings are on the horizon. So, now that’s taken care off, let’s see what each month has to offer...
June
- Enjoy warm climes
- Avoid school holiday crowds
- Check out events and festivals
June marks the arrival of summer – yippee! It’s the most wonderful time of year, when you can swap snowboots for sandals, soup for salads and desks for deckchairs. And, best of all, if you choose a June holiday, destinations are basking in sunshine and warmer temperatures.
Schools are still all go during June so resorts tend to be quieter than during peak season but still have that early summer buzz. Festival season is in full swing too if you’re after world-class musical performances, while al fresco eateries are teeming with diners enjoying warm evenings drinking under the stars.
July
- Summer’s in full swing!
- Blue skies, sun-kissed beaches
- School’s out!
Looking to get away at the height of the summer season? We don’t blame you. That infectious happy buzz of summer ripples through the streets, the sun is blazing down and for many, school’s out for the year – woohoo!
This wonderful time of the year promises sun-kissed beaches, al fresco dinners and so much more. That’s why July’s the perfect month to say goodbye to work for a week or two and hello to relaxation. Discover our huge range of July holidays.
August
- An upbeat atmosphere all-round!
- Glorious hot weather
- The traditional summer getaway
Sink into the spirit of summer when it peaks during August. Most of Europe’s seaside resorts are jam-packed with holidaymakers during August, creating a fun-filled atmosphere, but there are plenty of hidden gems to seek out if you’re after peace and quiet. Sleepy spots can be found on islands among the Med, while there are rural boltholes galore throughout the French and Italian countryside.
September
- Quieter resorts
- Extend your summer
- Weather still wonderful!
Not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet? Draw it out with a late getaway in September. Holiday deals are in abundance at this time of year, so you can snap up a bargain and get more for your money.
Not to mention the weather is balmy and bright. Enjoy a dose of much-needed sunshine without it being too hot to handle. September’s also fab for getting away from the stresses of daily life. The kids are back at school, leaving resorts quieter – great if you’re after total R&R.
Even if you’re planning a holiday with babies or toddlers in tow, it’s easier when the crowds of July and August have faded.
October
- Great time for travelling with toddlers
- More manageable temperatures
- Great-value getaways
Summer may be drawing to a close but that doesn’t mean there’s no sunshine to be had. Forget crispy leaves, pumpkin fields and toffee apples – October can be all cocktails on the beach and al fresco dinners by the sea if you know where to look. Half term means school’s out for some, so you can whisk the kids away on a fun-packed adventure or simply relax and unwind on a well-deserved break while the temperatures are a little cooler than summer.
