Chamrousse

You can even swap skis for slides at the tube park, which is suitable for all kids over the age of two. Alpe d’Huez

Family ski trips are sorted at Alpe d’Huez, because it’s a real all-rounder. When you’re after some fun away from the slopes, give the alpine coaster a go, where virtual reality goggles transport you to another world as you zoom down twists and turns. Villard-de-Lans/Corrençon

With its panoramic views, two ski schools and range of slopes, this modern resort is fully equipped to suit the whole brood. Seasoned skiers will find plenty to test their skills, with seven red and eight black slopes. Just starting out or rediscovering the sport after a long break? There are four spaces dedicated to beginners.

Little ones will be in their element thanks to Aux Rambins, a snow-dusted hamlet that’s all geared up for smaller skiers. Located in the heart of the village of Corrençon, you can expect sledging, skiing and more.

Les Deux Alpes

Looking for a family-friendly spot? Call off the search! With an easy-access town and accommodation within a few minutes’ walk of the lifts, Les Deux Alpes is ideal for hopping from slope to slope with the kids. Lots of the easiest slopes are at the top of the mountain, which means even inexperienced skiers can enjoy panoramic views of the French Alps.
