So, to help make your mind up about which fun month to pay Cyprus a visit, we’ve lined up the standout events across the rest of the year... January is a quiet month so let's jump straight in to February.

Limassol Carnival Festival
Carnival is a ten-day period of feasting and festivities prior to Easter. You'll find most of the iconic events in Limassol. What's not to like about filling up on Cypriot fare and diving into their culture?
Blooming Almond Tree Festivals
February is the perfect month for appreciating the beauty of three villages: Limnatis, Giolou and Salamiou. This annual festival sees traditional singing, dancing and demonstrations. Fancy seeing how almond cordial and dessert are made? Not to mention it's stunning!

Green Monday
The first day of Lent, which means hoy, happiness and a fabulous picnic. Most destinations in Cyprus will host different events and activities.

OPAP Limassol Marathon

The town of Polemi is famous for its tulips and every year it holds a beautiful festival to celebrate them.
4-12 April
Cyprus Film Days International Festival
The official feature film competition of Cyprus takes place across this week. The festival also includes a National Competition Section, exclusively showcasing Cypriot productions.

Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival
This football festival is recognised and approved by the Cyprus Football Association. It’s held at the modern athletic centre of Ayia Napa which contains 15 natural grass football pitches.

Greek Orthodox Easter
Easter is the most important Greek Orthodox religious feast in Cyprus and is celebrated across five days between Easter Thursday and Easter Monday.

Bedrock Gravel Festival
A week of adventure for cycle enthusiasts. Cyclists will have the opportunity to explore and discover some of the most beautiful areas of the island.

Anthestiria Flower Festival
The regions of Larnaca, Germasogeia and Paphos celebrate the coming of spring with the Anthestiria Flower Festival.

Pafos Triathlon
The triathlon is open to different age groups and offers two different lengths - Olympic or sprint.

Mediterranean Bar Show

Limassol Boat Show

Kataklysmos (Festival of the Flood)
Kataklysmos is a popular, religious feast held only in Cyprus. Taking place across all seaside towns, you'll find games, dancing, swimming and other competitions.

Cyherbia Lavender Festival
Throughout the two months, from 9:00-20:30, the lavender gardens open for guided tours and experiences to celebrate lavender season.

Afrobanana Festival
This major music and arts festival attracts artists from around the world to perform. It’s one of the biggest summer festivals on the island and has been recognised as one of Europe's finest.

Protaras Summer Film Festival
Attracting over 10,000 visitors a year, this film festival showcases some of the best young filmmakers on the island, shown on a big screen at Protaras central square.
Larnaca Annual Summer Festival
Throughout July, the Municipality of Larnaca organises a festival full of dance, music and theatrical performances.
Pancyprian Watermelon Festival
This festival takes place at the Community Stadium of Frenaros village during July and includes live music, performances, activities for children and famous watermelon delights and ice cream.
International Festival of Ancient Greek Drama
The 28th annual international theatre festival will host professional productions of ancient Greek plays from different cultures around the world.

Fengaros Festival
Interactive workshops, masterclasses and shows showcase international artists and performers across three days of creativity.
8-10 August
Countryside Animafest Cyprus
This is one of the longest running film festivals in Cyprus, taking place in the village of Salamiou. A selection of the world’s latest independent and non-commercial films will be showcased over the three days.
Jazz Paradise Festival
Taking place in Giala, the 25th annual Jazz Paradise Festival lights up the village over the course of two days.

43rd Lefkara Festival
This is Lefkara’s largest celebration of the year, with exhibitions and demonstrations from incredible craftsmen and women. Traditional music and dance performances bring the town centre to life.
