Across the six-day event, you’ll get to experience Spanish traditions that honour the town’s patron saints, spectacular fireworks displays, live music and a whole host of other exciting entertainment.
Like the sound of that? Here’s everything you need to know about Benidorm festival...

When is it?
This year, the festival is taking place between Friday 8 November and Wednesday 12 November*. Most events kick-start at around 5pm on the Friday and there are daily activities and displays to get involved with over the following six days.
The final day of the festival – the Wednesday – marks Europe’s biggest fancy-dress party! Join 35,000 other party-goers kitted out in crazy costumes and daring outfits. Expect to see everything from Elvis impersonators to cowboys and film characters parading around English Square – pretty much anything goes!
What’s on?
This huge event attracts people not only from Spain but from all over the world. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate and soak up some of the local culture. If it’s the music that you’re looking forward to, you’ll see brass bands, orchestras, singers and DJs taking to the stage and to the streets to showcase their talents.
In between all of the partying, you can witness the traditional flower offering at the church and a re-enactment of the discovery of the Virgin of the Suffrage.
The finale parade begins at around 6pm, followed by a show-stopping fireworks display at the far end of Poniente Beach. The fireworks display itself lasts for 30 minutes, so grab a good spot on the sands to see this amazing light display.
