Within our incredible collection of destinations, there’s a handful of places that open your eyes to a whole new world of colour. From deep shades of pine to transparent turquoises and rustic reds, you’ll experience these hues like never before. So let us introduce you to some of the most vibrant postcodes you can visit for kaleidoscopic palettes.

Marrakech, Morocco
Nicknamed the ‘Red City’, Marrakech lives up to this and then some. The city welcomes you with its red, sandstone buildings, fluorescent souks and exquisite courtyards adorned with multicoloured tiles. The oranges, yellows and reds of traditional spices will steal your attention at the stalls. As you pass by the red walls glowing in the afternoon sun and towering trees that line pathways of terracotta buildings, you’ll realise this city is undeniably unique.
But it’s not just the structures of Marrakech that are bound to catch your eye. As night-time emerges, look up and see a sky full of colour above you as this part of Morocco is known for staggering sunsets. The sky fades from shades of azure to hues of pastel pinks and burnt oranges, before giving way to a midnight sky tinted with purple and glistening with stars. Every aspect of colour is covered on a break to Marrakech.

Tuscany, Italy
Rolling hills that stretch to the horizon, tall trees that twist their way through vineyards, and olive groves and cypress trees that span for miles, nowhere covers shades of green quite like Tuscany does. This central region of Italy offers a dose of timeless beauty within the arms of its vibrant colours. For your fix of twinkling waters along a palm-lined beachfront, head to the Tuscan Riviera hotspot, Viareggio. But when you make your way in land, prepare for the picturesque landscape to unravel before your eyes.
The capital of the region, Florence, is a jaw-dropping amalgamation of tea-stained roofs atop creamy and pastel-yellow buildings. And the banks of the River Arno are flanked by stretches of green that come alive under the summer sun. Make your way south to Siena to be transported to the Middle Ages as the orange-hued villages climb their way up the emerald hills. The vistas of undulating greenery only improve as you venture to the radiant villages of Lucca and San Gimignano. At the base of the Apuan Alps, walled Lucca sits at the mountainside while the hills of San Gimignano ebb and flow between sand-tinted towns and vast vineyards. Tuscany is bound to take everyone’s breath away.

Halkidiki, Greece
When you step foot in Halkidiki, prepare to be in awe of the eclectic shades of blue that meet you. Swoon-worthy golden sands are lined by dreamy, crystal-clear waters and are often flanked by cliff faces or leafy pines to contrast the glinting ocean. The Kassandra peninsula has bragging rights to the best beaches in the region and it’s where you’ll find popular shores such as Sani and Kallithea. There, the sand glistens and the sea shimmers under the sun.
For a unique experience to witness Halkidki’s striking scenery and radiant colours, climb aboard a cruise ship and venture to the Blue Lagoon. Cruises often depart from the southern port of Ormos Panagias and, once you’re on the water, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to the Caribbean. That’s all thanks to the turquoise water, shallow sandy seabeds and secluded landscape.

Ibiza, Balearic Islands
You may automatically think of the fluorescent lights of Ibiza’s nightlife scene when you think of colours on this Balearic Island, but there’s so much more to experience than you may think. Don’t underestimate the colours here. Admire the lavender bougainvillea climbing the whitewashed houses in Dalt Vila, dip into the cobalt waters of Cala Comte or watch the sky fade from shades of honey to deep cardinal over Es Vedrà.
Located off the southwest coast of Ibiza lies the small, rocky island, Es Vedrà. It’s one of the places people regularly gather to see, as the rock rises dramatically from the sea. You can spend the day at the nearby cove, Cala d’Hort, surrounded by greenery and rocky cliffs. And then stay to watch the sun set behind Es Vedrà for a truly magical experience.

Maspalomas, Gran Canaria
For an experience more Saharan than Canarian, pay a visit to Maspalomas Sand Dunes at the southernmost point of Gran Canaria. These otherworldly marvels occupy nearly two miles of coastline and you can follow winding paths through the golden grains until you reach the shore.
Head to the dedicated viewing point to get a perspective of how vast the dunes are before taking to the paths. Get out and explore the official nature reserve that’s protected by the Canarian government on foot or on an exciting buggy ride. Then, as the sun sets, head to the nearby rooftop cocktail bar on Bohemia Suites & Spa’s top floor and watch the colour of the sky merge with the orange-tinged mounds.
