Museo Picasso Malaga

Super-arty Malaga holds the boast-worthy title as the birthplace of Pablo Picasso himself, so where better to admire the magnificence of his work than in the Museo Picasso Malaga? Nope, we can’t think of one either. See some of the artist’s most recognised pieces as you wander among the entrancing paintings and sculptures, each one with its own tale to tell.

Museo de Malaga

A great first port of call when you arrive in the city, the Museo de Malaga offers an exciting insight into the history of Malaga in its eight enchanting rooms. It’s located within the Aduana Palace and covers a staggering 18,000sqm with its archaeological and fine art displays. Just a heads-up that the museum is closed on Mondays.

Centre Pompidou Malaga

Paris’ world-famous twin sister, the Centre Pompidou Malaga is another one for the ‘absolute must list’! This quirky cube-shaped building is just as impressive inside as it is out, with permanent and temporary exhibitions that are sure to bring ‘wows’ all round. Head here after 4pm on Sundays if you like the sound of free entry, otherwise it’s €9pp.

Museu de Arte Flamenco

Think Spain, think Flamenco dancing? Malaga is no exception. The Museu de Arte Flamenco is a total and utter delight, with displays of bold and bright costumes, sculptures and paintings. But this isn’t any ordinary museum, no sir! This one serves tapas and offers flamenco performances if you time your trip with one of the monthly events!

An eclectic combo of iconic cars and statement fashion are what you can expect from this cool and quirky museum. Style icons and transport fanatics, you’re in for a treat here, with fun facts, amazing displays and a whole lot of history!

Museo Carmen Thyssen Malaga

You can easily while away an afternoon in the Museo Carmen Thyssen Malaga. Praise the work from famous Spanish artists in this gorgeous gallery, before perusing the souvenir shop and swinging by the tearoom for refreshments. What could be better?
