Lefkas is a must-visit, as it’s a place renowned for its electric blue waters and pristine sands. Stroll or cycle through vibrant villages like Nidri and Vasiliki, where traditional tavernas serving delectable Greek cuisine will be calling when you’re feeling peckish. You can drive or take a boat trip for this one, depending on your preference.

On the road, you’ll pass ancient olive trees and smell the hint of thyme in the air as you pass through winding paths, but it can be a longer drive of a few hours. By boat, you’ll have the chance to swim in lovely sea spots and arrive at the stunning Porto Katsiki.

Antipaxos and Paxos

How does a boat trip to the blissful beach of Antipaxos followed by two Paxos stops sound? The natural bay of Voutoumi Beach, with its wealth of luxury yachts, is the prime location to bathe. You’ll usually pass Kamara and Ortholitho on your way to the Blue Caves, so sit back and enjoy the dramatic landscapes. Gaios is another popular stop around here, featuring a picturesque harbour. This trip embodies traditional Ionian character and offers plenty of epic architecture!

Sivota is around a 35-minute drive from Parga, so it’s well worth doing if you have a hire car. You can also set sail on a cruise from Parga to Sivota, ticking off the enthralling cave of Sivota, Bella Vraka Beach and Pool Beach as you go. This trip isn’t as easily booked in Parga, so looking into renting a small private boat tends to be the best way to tick it off your list. The convenience and comfort of having your own space while navigating this route makes it all the more special.

Acheron River

If you’re after a more unique experience, take a trip to the Acheron River. Visits to this mystical spot generally leave Parga port around 9:30am, so keep an eye on the timetables. If you love to swim outside or dip your toes in no-filter-needed waters, you’ll be all about this river. The scenery is a bonus, plus there’s a riverside restaurant if you walk a little further, which serves top-notch food for you to fuel up on after your adventure. Nidri Waterfalls are another beauty to behold. Just be sure to take a waterproof bag for your electronics!

Corfu Town

How about getting the best of both worlds and hitting another of our Jet2holidays destinations? A boat trip to Corfu Town is a superb shout. It’s brimming with museums, parks and shopping areas, so you’ll certainly be spoilt for things to do. See the famous Kantouni, where the narrow streets are dotted with high-rise buildings.
