1. Coral Bay

A few miles down the coast from Paphos, this crescent-shaped bay is the perfect place to plant yourself down for an afternoon of sunshine. It’s been awarded Blue Flag status thanks to its sparkling aquamarine waters and 600-metre stretch of golden sand. Make the most of the water sports on offer – have a little fun on your own pedalo or take a ride on a banana boat.

2. Konnos Bay

This idyllic spot on the country’s south-east coast is another Blue Flag beach, less than 15 minutes away from Ayia Napa. The water is mesmerizingly clear here – ideal for keen snorkellers. Don your mask and see if you can spot parrot fish, octopus or starfish.

3. Green Bay

Diving lovers will be in their element at Green Bay – of all of Cyprus’ beaches, this is the place to head beneath the surface. This quiet cove in Protaras boasts clear warm waters that are ideal for diving, whether you’re a beginner or have lots of experience. Look out for bream, octopus and cuttlefish.

4. Fig Tree Bay

Cyprus’ beaches don’t get more striking than this. This Blue Flag stretch in Protaras has repeatedly landed a place on TripAdvisor’s top beaches in Europe. Visit here and you’ll see why – clear blue waters that are warm and shallow and a clean sandy beach. Bliss.


5. Kourion Beach

You’re in for a treat at Landa Beach in Ayia Napa, with more than 400 metres of sand to enjoy. In the north-west corner of the island, Latchi is a popular spot for sunseekers and swimmers alike. The beach is pebbly, the waters are ultra-clear and the atmosphere is relaxed.
