Croatia food and drink guide

Croatia boasts a melting pot of magnificent flavours. Let us introduce you to our favourites...

Croatia offers a rich mix of food and drink across its regions, thanks to a range of different influences. Closer to the mainland, you’ll find Slavic dishes with strong flavours such as garlic and paprika, whereas coastal regions have been particularly inspired by Italian cooking.

The climate plays an important role in the great range of quality local ingredients. For instance, Istrian olive oil has been lauded since the Roman times, while the region’s white truffle is a prized delicacy. A number of wines are also made locally, with established vineyards across the country, including in Istria and Dalmatia.
