The rich and famous have been holidaying in Courchevel since the 1960s, and its sparkle shows no sign of dulling. And it’s hardly a surprise, with a lusted-after location in the heart of the world’s largest lift-linked ski area (the Three Valleys), and plenty to see and do on and off the mountain.

With Jet2, you can fly direct to Chambery Airport, just an hour and a half’s transfer away. Plus, we offer 22kg baggage* and up to 22kg ski carriage*, so you can bring all your gear with you! Well, what are you waiting for? We’ll ski you there...

The resort

The resort is made up of six villages and they all offer something a little different. Piste and quiet are the hallmarks of Le Praz, Courchevel Village and La Tania. But if you’re looking for more of an atmosphere, you’ll want to point your skis in the direction of Courchevel Moriond or Courchevel 1850. The free local buses make travelling between them a breeze. Got the whole family with you? Listen to their ski-school stories while splashing around at Aquamotion. It’s the largest leisure facility in the Alps, complete with pools, slides, a surf simulator and a state-of-the-art spa. There’s even a climbing wall!

The slopes

Our favourite thing about the Three Valleys? With 600km to play with, you can ski all week without doing the same run twice. Your ability will help you narrow down where to go, but the beginner areas in each of the villages are a good place to start. Hop on the Verdons gondola from Courchevel 1850 and take your pick of the cruisy green runs. Feeling more confident? The tree-lined trails are a highlight. Head across to Courchevel Moriond, jump on the Ariondaz gondola and whizz down the Indiens blue. It’s a great choice if you get a low-visibility day, and it runs all the way back into the village. And of course, experts can’t leave without testing their mettle on the area’s steepest black, the Grand Couloir. As it’s so popular, it gets more and more mogully as the day goes on, so try and get here early.

The après

Lively or laidback? Whatever your style of après, you’re bound to find something that suits. When the lifts close, Courchevel Moriond and Courchevel 1850 tend to be the buzziest. Le Pelican lays on live music and open-mic nights, while the Fire and Ice Bar’s the spot for cosy cocktails. But it’s the dining scene that really sets this resort apart. Fling on your finery and enjoy a night to remember at the Michelin-starred Le Farçon. You can expect gastronomic fireworks courtesy of the three tasting menus. Fancy food not your style? There are lots of laidback bistros, where you can refuel on oozy tartiflette and steaming chocolat chaud.
