  1. Brus
  2. Brønnum
  3. Ancestrale
  4. The Jane

1. Brus

Venture to the hipster district of Nørrebro and you’ll find the cool and quirky hangout of Brus. It’s a brewery, bar, bottle shop and restaurant all rolled into one! There are 33 taps with a huge range of craft beers and cool cocktails to choose from.

The open-plan bar makes it easy to mingle with the locals and the friendly bar staff are always on hand to help if you’re unsure of what drink to choose next. Open until 3am Friday and Saturday, it’s the perfect place to round off a busy day of sightseeing.

2. Brønnum

Sample some of the best champagne and cocktails in the city at Brønnum. Just off Kongens Nytorv square, it’s in a central location that’s within easy reach of lots of the attractions. The baroque-style building certainly stands out among Copenhagen’s bars and once inside you’ll be in awe of the vintage-style interior.

Brønnum’s huge list of exquisite drinks is ever-changing and can be tailored to your own personal tastes and preferences. Why not take your chosen cocktail out to the pretty courtyard and admire the flowers?

3. Ancestrale

The ultimate hygge hideaway, Ancestrale provides a cosy corner where you can sip local tipples by candlelight. The bar staff are extremely passionate about wine and their offering is bound to impress all, from the amateur wine fan to the full-blown connoisseur.

Afternoon tasting sessions feature wines that are chosen on the day to reflect things like the weather or mood. Head here between 4pm and 6pm to take part!

4. The Jane

You’ll find this speakeasy-style bar at the heart of the city on Gråbrødretorv square. Here, bow-tie-wearing bartenders pride themselves on whipping up some of the best cocktails around – even if it’s not on the menu, they’ll be happy to create something especially for you.

Cosy up next to the fireplace and sink into one of the giant Chesterfields, surrounded by vintage décor and vintage bookshelves. As the night goes on, these bookshelves open to reveal hidden doorways which lead into several other bars. Fancy a boogie? Stay until late for live DJs playing lively beats.

5. Chateau Motel

This four-storey nightclub is the place to be seen in Copenhagen. Chateau Motel provides the full club experience, with its cocktail club, old-school bar, DJ room and karaoke lounge. Each floor offers a different genre of music, so no matter what mood you’re in, you’ll find something you love!
