Watch the sun set over Prague’s Charles Bridge  

Prague’s Charles Bridge is stunning at any time, but golden hour transforms it into a scene straight from a storybook. As the sun begins its slow descent, the Gothic towers are bathed in honey hues. Meander across the cobblestones, linger to watch the local musicians or simply pause for a moment and take it all in. 

Do a yoga class in Hvar  

Imagine rolling out your mat on a quiet terrace or cliffside, the Adriatic Sea shimmering beneath you. That’s what in store on the Croatian island of Hvar. As you work your way through your poses, don’t forget to soak up your surroundings. Instructors often design evening sessions to flow more slowly, letting you move with mindfulness.

Windsurfing is a popular pastime around these parts, so why not give it a go? Sotavento Beach is a prime spot, thanks to the constant winds. Paddleboarding more your pace? Corralejo offers calm waters and views out to Lobos Island.  

Hike the hills in Madeira  

The early bird catches the best views in Madeira! Sunrise-seekers should add the Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo hike to their itinerary. It connects the island’s two highest peaks, winding through a network of narrow ridges and tunnels. If you can manage the pre-dawn alarm, you’ll reach one of the summits just as the sun rises over a blanket of clouds. For something a little more lowkey, the Levada dos 25 Fontes route is just the ticket.
