La Table du Chef
First up is this Michelin Guide-rated cosy bistro. Catch La Table du Chef in the evenings, just a few minutes from Rue d’Antibes. We’re talking local, seasonal produce put to work by dedicated chefs. The carrot soup with star anise and lightly seared shrimp steals the show! The ‘surprise’ menu is popular in this hotspot too, which is an affordable way to try different French cuisine in a lovely setting.
Bobo Bistro
The perfect lunchtime eatery in downtown Cannes, Bobo Bistro offers a unique experience. Tuck into burrata gnocchi or salmon tartare and watch the world go by at one of their open-air tables. Inside, their rustic pendants, candle-lit tables and floral décor makes for a relaxed atmosphere. This family-led restaurant values seasonal cuisine and lives for fresh food! What do you fancy from the menu?
Gelateria di Torino L'Ile de la Glace
Referred to by many as the best ice cream in Cannes, this gelateria quenelles generous portions of lip-smacking gelato and sorbet in the heart of Cannes. The hardest part is choosing a flavour! You won’t be left out if you’re lactose intolerant too – bonus. It’s ideal to satisfy that sweet tooth.
Lucky You Beef & Seafood
This steakhouse specialises in high-quality meat, using a tailored cooking process of searing it in their oven at extreme temperatures. If an aged tenderloin or Galician fillet sounds up your street, this is the place to be. They also plate up grilled wild shrimps and starters such as tuna tartare. Their standards are right up there, and you’ll dine in an elegant setting, where you can watch the chef prepare your meal in plain sight.
Schebell
Fancy trying a Pan-Asian restaurant during your time in the city? Classic flavours meet creativity here near the old town. You’ll find wasabi, pak choi and miso soup among the options. These dishes are well-crafted and balanced with fresh ingredients. Choose from comfy indoor or outdoor seating, with soft lighting and an impressive floral arrangement for good measure. Finish up with a crème brûlée. Delicious!
Aux Bons Enfants
Heart-warming fare is in abundance at this Michelin Guide-approved, family-owned restaurant. Forville Market is the source of their fresh produce, which spans fruit, veg, meat and fish that forms their calamari and pollock dishes. If you prefer meat, try their ‘black pearl’ beef with mashed sweet potatoes. The cosy vibes make for a dreamy night. Oh, and the house pudding, rum baba with vanilla cream, must be on your to-chew list!
