When you’re trying to decide where will offer the best family holidays, Europe is a great place to start. All of the destinations on the continent are just a short flight away from the UK – perfect for making sure the kids aren’t bored by the travelling. Plus, most family holiday destinations here are well-established, offering up a whole host of activities and attractions.
It’s little wonder that Majorca is considered one of the best family holiday destinations, as it offers something for everyone. Sandcastle-friendly beaches, waterparks, playgrounds, the list goes on. Europe has a great selection of theme parks, but PortAventura Park has the added benefit of being in a sun-soaked resort that’s close to the coastline. It has a huge selection of rides, including the mighty Shambhala, which is 83m tall and reaches speeds of up to 83mph.
Ibiza may be famous for its clubs and bars, but it’s also one of the best holiday destinations for kids too. The east coast of the White Isle has peaceful, sandy beaches based around Santa Eulalia. The marvellous Mediterranean island of Cyprus is a real winner for beach-loving families.
