Welcome to a coastal hangout which is fab for families, friends and couples alike. Youngsters can splash safely in the shallow waters, and when tums start rumbling, there are lots of restaurants to choose from on the promenade. If you’re feeling active, you could also try your hand at some water sports. Who’s for kayaking or paddleboarding? Snorkelling is on the cards too!

Platamonas Beach

Backed by a pine tree forest, Platamonas Beach is the sort of spot that’ll fill your camera roll. It’s easy to while away the day, thanks to the laidback atmosphere. When the mood to explore strikes, make your way up to the village. Here, traditional tavernas serving mouth-watering grilled seafood, homemade tzatziki and marvellous mezes await.

Leptokarya Beach

Whether you’re building sandcastles with the little ones or simply soaking up the sunshine with a good book in hand, Leptokarya Beach is a top choice. The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles, and the waters are nice and calm. When you’ve had your fill of vitamin sea, head to one of the waterfront bars and tuck into some Greek treats.

Katerini Paralia resort guide

Paralia Katerini Beach

Sunbathing? Swimming? Beach volleyball? This is the place to be if you’re after somewhere with a bit of everything. The seafront is lined with  tavernas and shops, giving it a lively, sociable feel. Go for a dip then follow the scent of freshly baked loukoumades (honey-soaked doughnuts) to one of the local cafés. That sounds like the perfect day to us.
