From bustling beaches to cosy coves, it’s not hard to find your own slice of pebbly paradise here in Split.
Bacvice Beach
You can’t miss Bacvice Beach – one of Split’s only sandy spots, it’s just a stone’s throw away from the Old Town. When you’re done sightseeing, why not make your way down to the water and enjoy a refreshing dip? You’ll find sunloungers and water sports, plus the shallow waters are ideal if you’ve got the kids in tow.
Znjan Beach
This beautiful beach is perfect for everyone thanks to its wheelchair-friendly facilities, along with kid-focused activity areas that offer ample space for little ones to play. Plus, the vibrant bars and restaurants are ideally placed for a post-swim supper. If you want to save your pennies, there’s a supermarket nearby where you can stock up on drinks and snacks.
Kasuni Beach
Kasuni Beach is a peaceful, pebbly plot backed by the pine-covered foothills of the Marjan peninsula. Without any sunloungers or deck chairs, there’s an away-from-it-all feel, making it great for a relaxing day out – just remember to bring your towel! For the ultimate view, head to the beachside coffee bar for fresh juice with a side of stunning scenery.
Trstenik Beach
Trstenik is a sun-seeker's paradise. With a long stretch of pebbled shore, there’s nowhere better to unwind. And when you clap eyes on the glassy waters, you’ll realise why snorkelling is the activity of choice here.
Bosana Beach
For seaside seclusion, Bosana Beach offers sun-seekers plenty of peace and quiet. To get there, park on the road and take a five-minute walk down to the shore, enjoying the scenery along the way – make sure to wear some sturdy shoes! There are clear waters that are perfect for snorkelling, and plenty of space to relax. It’s best enjoyed in the morning before the sun dips behind the rock later in the afternoon.
Bene Beach
This popular swimming and snorkelling spot is sure to impress, where the crystal-clear waters make it easy to spot all sorts of marine life like sea urchins, shellfish and octopus. For the adventure-seekers, there’s a surrounding forested area to explore and a great network of cycling trails. Why not incorporate a visit to the church ruins while you’re here?
