In a country that regularly features on the world’s best beaches list, it’s no surprise Sardinia’s blessed with relaxation royalty. Whether you’re in the market for golden sands or rugged strands, you’ll find it here. So, grab your sunglasses, pack a good book and get ready to pitch up in paradise…

Cala Brandinchi
R&R at the top of your Sardinia itinerary? It’s all about taking it easy at Cala Brandinchi. And once you’ve spied the chalk-white sands and topaz waters, you’ll soon see why it’s nicknamed ‘Little Tahiti’.

Spiaggia di Budoni
This dune-backed beauty hits all the right notes. It draws adventurous types, with windsurfing, snorkelling and scuba diving all on offer. If you do just want to sit back and soak up the scenery though, we won’t judge!

Cala Luna
Cala Luna’s hard to reach location makes it all the more magical. It is possible to reach by hike, but most people opt for a leisurely boat trip from the nearby ports of Cala Gonone and Santa Maria Navarrese. If you tire of lounging, check out the collection of sea caves.

Spiaggia del Principe
You’re in for a prime slice of seaside contentment at Spiaggia del Principe. One of the favourite pastimes here is snorkelling, so bring your fins and look out for colourful fish darting around the shallows. It’s best to arrive early in the summer months if you want to secure your spot.
Spiaggia del Grande and Piccolo Pevero
This dreamy duo, nestled 600m apart from each other, are some of northern Sardinia’s most prized possessions. The clue’s in the name at Spiaggia del Piccolo Pevero, a dinky stretch of wave-smoothed sands, while you’ll have plenty of space to sprawl on Spiaggia del Grande Pevero.

Spiaggia Baia Sardinia
This sun-kissed spot clinches the coastal crown when it comes to views. Look out across to the La Maddalena Islands as you recline in the rays. It’s brimming with waterfront activities to keep you busy all day long. Feeling peckish? There’s a handful of beachside bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Spiaggia Pittulongu
It couldn’t be easier to get your dose of vitamin sea at Spiaggia Pittulongu. Sunbeds? Shallow waters? Postcard-ready vistas out to Isola Tavolara in the distance? This half-moon shaped bay ticks all the blissful boxes.

Spiaggia Lu Impostu
Nowhere says ‘holiday heaven’ quite like Spiaggia Lu Impostu. Gentle, sloped shores make safe paddling a winner for those with kids, but you can’t top relaxing by the waves instead.

Spiaggia Le Saline
Named after the nearby salt mines, Spiaggia Le Saline’s the perfect place to plant yourself for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Take a look at the marshes behind you and you might even spot a flamingo!

Spiaggia Cala Granu
What this tucked-away cove lacks in size, it more than makes up for in scenic drama. It’s just a five-minute drive from Porto Cervo, but you’ll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle. Rent a sunlounger and watch as yachts glide into the bay.
