The Greek island of Samos is home to some of the most stunning beaches in the Aegean. We’re talking turquoise water and white, pebbly shores that are guaranteed to wow, and you won’t be able to resist taking a dip.
Here are just some of the best beaches in Samos...

TSAMADOU BEACH
Where?
In the north, around a 25-minute walk from Kokkari.
Need-to-knows...
It’s a bit of a rocky walk to get there, so it’s best to wear sensible shoes. You can hire loungers and umbrellas, and one side of the beach welcomes nudists.
Best bit...
The view of the bright-turquoise water as you head down to the shore.

LEMONAKIA BEACH
Where?
Just minutes along the road from Tsamadou Beach and along a footpath from the main road.
Need-to-knows…
Pine and olive trees provide some welcome shade on the shore. Speaking of the shore, this is pebbly and rocky too, so it’s best to pack some sea shoes.
Best bit…
There’s a handful of traditional tavernas just off the beach where you can grab lunch and cooling drinks.

KOKKARI BEACH
Where?
Stretching along the whole of Kokkari, in the north.
Need-to-knows…
It’s 2km in length, so there’s plenty of space to spread out! And there’s a handful of tavernas just off the sand when you get peckish.
Best bit…
It’s ideal for water sports, so why not give one a go? There’s surfing, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding and even bikes for hire!
VOTSALAKIA BEACH
Where?
In Kampos, on the south of the island.
Need-to-knows…
If you’ve got little ones in tow, they’ll love the soft sand-and-shingle shore and calm water here.
Best bit…
It’s one of the most popular beaches on the island but as it’s so big, you won’t struggle to find a lounger or space on the sand to roll out your towel!

POTOKAKI BEACH
Where?
In the south of the island, just along the coast from Pythagorion and just minutes from Samos Airport!
Need-to-knows…
Be careful when you’re going in for a dip as the waterfront is pebbly, but once you’re in there, you’ll be treated to the brightest turquoise water – dreamy!
Best bit…
There are plenty of loungers and umbrellas to hire, alongside pedalos, kayaks and more. Plus, it’s been awarded Blue Flag status, so you just know it’s going to be good.
