Great slopes, gourmet food and snap-worthy scenery – yep, that’s what you’ll find on an Italian ski holiday! And when you fly into Turin, you’ll unlock a plethora of pristine pistes and resorts like Sauze d’Oulx and Courmayeur.
Sauze d’Oulx
If you’re looking for the liveliest spot in the Milky Way, you’ve come to the right place! Sauze d’Oulx knows a thing or two when it comes to dusk ‘til dawn partying, with everything from bustling pubs to larger-than-life après bars. And the slopes are pretty impressive too!
Moncrons
Moncrons is like a home away from home, with a friendly vibe and an English landlord, although it’s a popular watering hole with people from all over the world! There’s a great selection of drinks and you can often catch football matches on the TV over the winter months.
The Derby
A warming fire and top-notch drinks are what you’ll find at this alpine-esque Sauze d’Oulx bar. Expect live music nights, pool tables, table football and ice sculptures too. It’s also renowned for the famous nail game – make sure you ask the bar staff to find out more!
Gressoney
Gressoney is all about laidback nightlife. We’re talking evenings in cosy alpine wine bars, charcuterie boards by the fire and rum hot chocolates on the slopes. The resort itself is slap-bang in the middle of the Monte Rosa ski area, so there’s plenty to explore.
Castore & Polluce - Lounge Bar & Wine Restaurant
There’s something for everyone here, with three different areas – an outside, a sheltered terrace and a lounge area. Tuesdays are all about dancing, while Thursdays see everyone enjoying an organised après-ski party. Expect daily happy hours, plenty of wine and great food too!
Courmayeur
This chic town lies at the foot of Mont Blanc, with tree-lined slopes and traditional hotels. You’ll often find people spending their evenings tucking into wood-fired pizzas or sipping cocktails in one of the classy bars, but there’s still a select few clubs pumping out music into the early hours if you’re more of a party person.
Disco Shatush
Get the party started in this chalet-style bar as you kick off your skis and put on your dancing shoes. DJ and themed events are a regular occurrence, with music ranging from pop to rock and hip-hop to dance music. It’s got a luxury feel to it, so booking is a must!
Cervinia
When the weekend comes around, Cervinia’s après-ski scene really comes alive. There are enough bars to keep you entertained late into the night, along with slopeside spots for those afternoon aperitifs. With the mighty Matterhorn as the picturesque backdrop, you’re in for some pretty scenic days on the slopes too.
Yeti Bar
Yeti Bar is a central spot where you can enjoy a cooling cocktail on the decked terrace or a few beers by the bar. Plus, it serves up some decent pub grub at reasonable prices – perfect for those who’ve worked up an appetite after a long day skiing.
Bardonecchia
With a few great haunts and several bars open until the early hours, Bardonecchia is a decent après resort. Although not as raucous as some other resorts, it still knows how to show skiers a good time.
Haralds
This popular plot at the bottom of the Campo Smith nursery slope always attracts a crowd thanks to its regular evening events and live music. Tuck into traditional alpine-style dishes, make the most of happy hour, then get ready for a boogie. It opens at 7am, so even if you’re not into the après-ski, you can start the day off strong with a hearty breakfast.
