Heading off on your first golfing adventure or just planning your next golf trip? It can sometimes be tricky knowing what to pack or how to get organised for your getaway, but that’s where we come in!
Well actually, that’s where the experts over at American Golf come in!
We sat down with them to bring you the top tips for a golf holiday.
1. Be smart with your packing
Pack all your golf gear in your travel bag to save space. Pencil bags are lightweight and smaller in size, so you’ll have additional packing space.
2. Be prepped for late evenings on the course
Gilets are great for offering an extra layer of warmth as the evening draws in, but still keeping your arms cool and free to swing.
3. Dress for before and after your round
Choose clothes you can wear both on and off the course, for example, spikeless shoes.
4. Check the weather
If you’re spending all day out on the course, make sure your skin is protected from the sun. Even if it feels cloudy, you could still get sunburnt. And be sure to take a waterproof layer just in case it rains.
5. Set up your golf GPS
Planning to track your golf rounds on your smartwatch? Don’t forget to load the courses you’ll be playing before you go.
6. Keep your clubs safe
Add an Apple AirTag to your golf bag and keep track of your clubs wherever you go.
7. Book your buggies
If you’re going to hire a golf buggy, check if you need to pre-book and pay for these before you go.
