Hi Tommy, can you tell us a bit about your role and what you do day to day here at Jet2?
“I’m part of the Customer Experience and Insights team, and we work hand in hand with our commercial and operational colleagues to make sure our customers have a lovely holiday! It’s my job to make our customers feel special, so we create lots of famous Jet2 personal touches throughout their journey.”
We’re always looking for ways to help our customers’ journeys run even smoother, so can you tell us a bit about Twilight Check-in?
“It’s available for both Jet2.com and Jet2holidays customers, flying before midday. You just need to check in online at least 24 hours before your flight. You can do this by logging into Manage My Booking to get started. There’s no need to book Twilight Check-in, just bring your bags along to the airport between 16:30 and 21:00, the night before your flight. You only need one person in your party to check in up to six people’s bags.
Just remember to bring the boarding passes and passports of everyone travelling. We offer Twilight Check-in seven days a week from the following UK airports: Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow International, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.”
Why would you recommend this service to our customers?
“I’ve used Twilight Check-in myself when travelling with work, and on my own Jet2 trips, and I love it, because it makes morning flights so much easier! It’s a great way to take a load of your mind and drop your bags off the night before.
It means customers can sail straight through to security at the airport in the morning. It’s perfect if you live local to the airport or are staying in a hotel nearby.”
And when it’s time to return home, why should people use our Resort Flight Check-In service? What are the benefits?
“We love to tell customers all about our innovative and secure service, Resort Flight Check-in. It makes going home so much easier as you can enjoy your last day bag-free! When you’re booking your holiday in Cyprus, choose a hotel that features Resort Flight Check-in.
On the morning of your flight home, come along to see our specialist team at your hotel reception. You can’t miss them – they’ll be wearing our famous red uniform, waiting to welcome you at our Resort Flight Check-in desk.
To drop your bags, you’ll need your passport and boarding pass. It’s great if you already have your pass printed, but it’s fine if you don’t – one of our friendly customer helpers will print it for you. After you’ve left your bags with our specialist team, we’ll load them safely and securely onto a Jet2holidays lorry, which is tagged and tracked, for security. We'll then take your bags to the airport to safely load onto your flight home. To keep things nice and secure, all bags are screened as part of the standard aviation procedure too.
Without any hold baggage to look after, you’re now free to make the most of your hotel and destination before your flight home. It’s got ‘relaxing last day’ written all over it!”
What handy hints and tips would you give to people who are wanting to use these services?
“You’ll need to check in online at least 72 hours before your flight to use these services. Don’t worry though, our online check-in opens 28 days before you go, so there’s plenty of time!
And here’s a handy tip – you only need one person to check in up to six bags from your party! We’ll also need to add baggage tags to any pushchairs or wheelchairs you may have. Don’t worry though, we won’t take these from you at check-in. In fact, you can still use them right up to the plane steps.”
